Dr. Carrie Kitay holds a Doctorate degree in Psychology from The Institute of Theology and Christian Therapy with a minor in Human Services. She is also a Certified Christian Counselor and a Board-Certified Christian Therapist.  She is the Director of Grace Christian Counseling Ministries.

Dr. Carrie Kitay specializes in the assessment, counseling, and consultation in the area of Domestic Violence, Spousal Abuse, and Child Abuse. She has extensive experience working with individuals and families who have been victims of violence.  As a manager and case worker of a battered women’s shelter, and as a counselor in private practice, she has seen both perpetrators and victims of domestic violence and abuse and has worked closely with law enforcement agencies, care providers, and service organizations.

Her experience includes, but is not limited to, providing counseling and crisis intervention to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, date rape, stalking strangulation, child abuse, and post-traumatic stress. 

In addition to her Administration and Counseling ministry, Carrie is also one of the Senior instructors at Destiny Bible College. She has co-authored the Certified Christian Counseling Program course materials and teaches all of the Certified Christian Counselor courses and the Anxiety, Anger, and Depression workshops offered through Destiny Bible College and individual workshops

She has conducted training and workshops explaining the dynamics and consequences of grooming (finding and ensnaring) child and adult victims, battered women syndrome, bullying, anger, and myths and misconceptions of family and personal violence. Over the last 20 years Carrie has served in a variety of positions in her local Church. She has taught Sunday school, been active in women’s ministry, and as intercessor / prayer partner. In addition to her counseling and ministry, she has worked as an adult counselor at a local battered women’s shelter. Her passion reaches outside the walls of the church. She has been in lay ministry for over 20 years ministering, counseling, and educating women and teens who are struggling in with the issues of life and works to help them find their position and function in the body of Christ.

Carrie has counseled and brought Biblical truths to women and teens who are struggling in areas of anxiety, depression, anger management, substance abuse, addictions, teen pregnancy, sexual abuse, and those needing crisis intervention. She has taught and lectured at Churches, private organizations, and other service providers on issues pertaining to Domestic Violence and Emotional Health.
